Chiz Escudero's mom Evie cooks Kare-Kare with Heart Evangelista

On her latest vlog, Heart Evangelista learned how to cook Kare-Kare from her mother-in-law, Sorsogon governor Chiz Escudero's mother, Evie.

While they waited for the Kare-Kare to boil, Heart and Mommy Evie had a little chit chat about Chiz's childhood.

Mommy Evie revealed that when Chiz was younger, she taught him how to cut a chicken.

"And thanks po to you kasi magaling magluto si Chiz hindi na po ako nape-pressure na mag-luto para sa kanya," Heart told Mommy Evie.

Heart said Chiz's Kare-Kare is a staple at their home every Sunday.

Mommy Evie said when Chiz was a child, their drivers would already call him "Gov" — short for governor.

"Ngayon lang nagkatotoo na he became a governor, because they call him Gov kasi when he comes to the house of Buhatan ang ginagawa  niya  eat with the drivers," she narrated.

She said Chiz did not excel in his academics in grade school and high school, the only time he shone was when he entered law school.

Mommy Evie is currently a Congresswoman of the first district of Sorsogon.
