Gian Sotto and wife Joy are expecting their sixth child
Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto and his wife Joy are expecting their sixth child together.
On Instagram Easter Sunday, the couple announced the news with a movie poster-like photo inspired by the film "Mama Mia."
The poster showed Gian, Joy and their five kids with a title that read "Here We Grow Again."
In the caption of the post, they said Joy is currently 16 weeks pregnant and they decided to announce it as they celebrate the Resurrection of Christ.
"We also want to share that we are celebrating life.... a life of a new blessing!" they wrote in the caption.
According to the couple, the pregnancy is a "secret we’ve been keeping since January."
Gian and Joy said their sixth child "came as a big surprise to us since we were really not planning to have another one.... BUT our plan was not God’s plan!"
The couple was supposed to share the news last month, which was also Gian's birthday month "but unfortunately it was when the Covid situation started and we felt that it just wasn’t the right time to share. We waited on God’s perfect time and TODAY felt right!"
Gian and Joy have been married since 2007 and they currently have five children together.
Gian is the son of Senator Tito Sotto and veteran actress Helen Gamboa.
