Kris Bernal reveals why she didn't instantly say yes to fiance Perry's marriage proposal
In her latest vlog, Kris Bernal explained why she didn't instantly say yes to her now-fiance Perry Choi, when he asked for her hand in marriage.
"It took me a while to say yes because — unfortunately my mom didn't make it to the party as she had to look after her grandchildren at home," Kris wrote in the video.
Kris said every decision she makes is important for her mother, which is why the Kapuso actress had to make sure she approved of it. But when Perry told her that everyone in her family knew about the proposal, she finally said yes.
"Perry told me that everyone in the family knew about it. He went to my family some time in January 2020 to ask their blessings," Kris said in the video.
All her family members including her sister Kate and her brother-in-law were present to witness the special moment.
"I kept asking if mom knows about it and if they are all okay about me getting engaged and married," she said.
Kris said Perry is "the person that I would not mind seeing and being with every day for the rest of forever."
"I love you, immensely, Perry. Getting engaged with you is by far the best decision I've made."
Kris has been planning the birthday surprise party for Perry a month before it happened.
Little did she know, she was the one who got the bigger surprise, when Perry got down on one knee and proposed marriage.
