Actress Ritz Azul is now engaged!

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Ritz shared photos of her engagement with her longtime boyfriend, Allan Guy, in Lipa, Batangas.

Flashing her new engagement ring in the photos as both of them smiled from ear to ear, she wrote, “This Guy’s in love with me, pare. I love you too, Allan Guy. #engaged #myfiance”

Before the proposal, Ritz shared that Allan encountered many obstacles. He initially planned to propose in Switzerland but decided to hold it in their farm in Batangas instead because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Umuulan pa pero nung moment na magpopropose na sya, nag-clear ang langit at kita pa ang bundok. Pagkatapos nyang magpropose, umulan ulit. Sobrang magical. Napabanggit ako ng ‘Salamat sa Diyos,’” said the actress.

Ritz shared that they first met in 2016 and instantly became best friends. Although she didn’t want a boyfriend at first because she wasn’t interested in marriage, she noticed that Allan was starting to fall in love with her.

He never asked to be her boyfriend, Ritz shared, but he kept on showing his affection. At one point, Ritz told him that they could never be together.

“Sumagot sya ng, ‘Hindi ako nagmamadali. Nandito lang ako palagi para sayo. Maghihintay ako kahit gaano katagal pero hindi ko pinapangako na kakayanin ko. Gagawin ko ang lahat,’” she said.

“Naisip ko, may ganitong tao pa pala? Parang too good to be true. Hanggang sa taon na naman ang lumipas, tinupad nya ang mga sinabi nya, hindi nya ako iniwan,” Ritz added. ‘Natanong ko tuloy ang sarili ko ulit kung ganun pa rin ba ang gusto ko? Hindi ako mag-aasawa? At ngayon, hindi lang ako ang nagmamahal sa kanya, kundi buong pamilya at kamaganak ko.”

After finally saying yes, Ritz thanked Allan as well as her friends, family, and God for making it all possible. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
