Chiz Escudero gives Heart Evangelista advice on how to deal with online bashers

For celebrities and politicians, criticisms seem par for the course, but how do they handle such?

In Heart Evangelista’s latest vlog entry on Friday, her husband Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero gave her advice on how to deal with haters on social media.

According to the governor, if a person is “parading” himself or herself on social media, showing what they do and where they are, then they have to “take the good with the bad.”

“It's not all negative and neither is it all positive. You just have to take the good with the bad. You have to learn to ride both,” Chiz said.

“If it’s too hot in the kitchen, then leave,” he added. “Chill a bit.”

The governor said everyone had the right express their opinion, even if others may disagree with it, adding he subscribed to the saying, “I may not agree with what you are saying, but I will always defend to the death your right to say it.”

Although he may get hurt, he just never showed that he was affected so as not to give the other party the satisfaction of seeing his reaction.

“It's not a question of being strong. It’s a question of learning to look the other way,” he said.

Heart also suggested to give yourself a break and go offline if things become too much.

“It's good for your mental health,” the actress said. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
