K Brosas' daughter, Crystal, comes out as a lesbian

On K Brosas' 45th birthday, her 22-year-old daughter, Crystal, came out as a lesbian.

The comedian and her daughter revealed the news in a tell-all video posted on her YouTube channel.

K said she considers this revelation as her gift to her child, even if she's the one celebrating her birthday.

According to K, she already knew about her daughter's sexual preference as early as when Crystal was still in high school.

"Sa mga nagtatanong, matagal ko ng alam. High school pa lang alam ko na 'yan bilang nanay.

"And wala akong galit, wala akong bwisit, tinanggap ko," she said.

"Anak kahit ano pa, kahit halamang dagat ka pa ,mamahalin kita kasi that's you know, unconditional love bilang magulang eh," she continued.

K apologized to people might not understand where she's coming from.

"Nag-iisang anak ko 'to eh, kung anong gusto niya, susuportahan ko tulad ng kanyang music, pagko-compose, napakagaling sumayaw, nagigitara left and right ambidextrose," she said.

They decided to announce the news after she asked her daughter if she wanted to come out.

"Umiyak siya, sabi niya oo. Gusto raw talaga niya sabi ko gusto mo ba galing sa 'kin para wala ng echos-echos. Sabi niya oo, iyak lang siya nang iyak."

The comedian said her daughter's sexual preference has nothing to do with her love for her daughter.

"At dapat nakakapanuod nito na sinusumpa yung mga anak nila na dahil ganyan, religous blabla, sorry peace, hindi, kung anak mo 'yan, unconditional 'yan and I'm very proud sa anak ko," she said.

K continued and enumerated some of the reasons why she's proud of her daughter, " Nag-tatrabaho siya ngayon, napaka-talented."

She said she has been giving her all the tools and gagdets she need for what she wants to do.

"Lahat ng gadgets binibigay ko sa kanya. Alam ko na yung kanyang sexual preference [at] hindi yun hadlang kasi nag-iisa ko lang 'to pero kahit hindi siya nag-iisa kahit pito sila, that won't change the fact na tanggap ko siya," she stressed.

K said she asked her daughter multiple times if she wanted to do it live because she knows how some people would violently react over such revelations.

K is expecting all sorts of negative reactions of people, but "mas importante kaligayahan ng anak ko eh. Ito ang gusto niya so wala kayong pakialam," she said.

"So here we are, I love my daughter and alam ko na po ito years ago and I support her," she said.

She said she's doing this because she wants to awaken other parents who disown their children just because of their sexual preference.

"'Yun lang please sa mga parents na nagtatakwil sa mga anak nila dahil di nila kaya sa paninindigan nila na bakla, tomboy or whatsover 'yung anak nila maawa naman po kayo sa mga anak niyo kasi anak niyo yan eh," she said.

"I'm doing this kasi gusto ko mamulat. Nabobother ako sa mga magulang na dinidisown yung mga anak nila or to think artista ako I know," she continued.

Towards the end of the video, K had a disclaimer saying they did not make the video for the clout, "wala akong pake sa mga followers ko dito hindi naman ako influencer." — LA, GMA News
