Inside Derek Ramsey’s newly built resort-like Alabang home

Derek Ramsay has finally finished his dream home, and it’s nothing short of a resort oasis.

The Kapuso actor’s four-story crib exhibits sleek modern architecture, stunning pieces from Filipino artists, and gaping glass doors that lead to a gigantic lap pool.

During an exclusive house tour on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit,” Derek shared that he was going for a resort-like feel but, at the same time, something “very home-y.”

“I like to stand (where), in every place, I could see everything,”

That would explain the house’s ultra-high ceilings, wide doorways and marvelous windows that let plenty of sunlight in.

The pool, on the other hand, provided a luxuriously refreshing view and it was big enough for Derek to get his daily exercise in.

Derek spent the past year or so building his dream home to perfection.

However, the “nicest room” in the house wasn’t for him.

“I put a room on the bottom floor for my parents so, fingers crossed, papayag na silang tumira with me,” he shared.

The actor explained how his parents were already over 70, and they lived all the way in his home province Tagaytay.

“My dad’s 77, and I want them to be with me na, just in case. It might happen, and I’m very near,” Derek said.

There was hardly anything not to love about the spacious bedroom with wide windows that Derek admitted was the “best view” in the house.

“‘Yung kuwarto ko hindi pa tapos. Wala pa akong kama, wala pa kong anything — Sila, meron na!”

Derek Ramsay is one of the most sought-after leading men in the Philippines after starring in numerous blockbuster movies and hit television shows.

Finishing his dream home is indeed a well-deserved feat for the Kapuso actor, athlete and father.
