Klaudia Koronel devastated, unable to come home from US to see mom who passed away

Klaudia Koronel, who is now based in California, has expressed her devastation over not being able to fly home to see her mother one last time.

In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras” Tuesday, the former actress revealed that her mother died last Saturday due to complications brought by diabetes.

“Parang kinakausap ko na lang siya sa isip ko tsaka sa puso ko,” Klaudia shared, crying. “Sabi ko kung nasa paligid ka lang, Ma, kung meron pa akong ano sayo.”

What was more heartbreaking, Klaudia shared, was that she was saving up to bring her mother to the United States when she passed away.

“Sabi mo gustong-gusto mo pumunta dito,” she cried. “Nag-iipon talaga ako kasi pinetition ko siya ... nag-iipon talaga ako para magkasama-sama kami dito. Tapos pakiramdam ko ngayon magsisimula na naman ako ulit.”

Looking back, Klaudia shared their happy memories together, especially when her mother would cook whatever she requested whenever she came back home.

“Maayos siya sa bahay, ’yung talagang ulirang ina na maayos sa bahay, magaling magluto, malinis, matalak, matapang, maasikaso,” said Klaudia.

The former actress is currently working as an assistant nurse and living alone in California after her separation with her husband.

Despite her grief, Klaudia said that she had to remain strong. “Syempre kailangan maayos mga desisyon natin, kasi panganay ako eh.” – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
