Mikael Daez on moving in with Megan Young before marriage: 'I was just excited to hang around with you'
Megan Young and Mikael Daez talked about their personal experience of moving in together before getting married, in the latest episode of their vlog.
According to the couple, moving in together wasn't really planned, until they saw the condo unit where they are living in now. They thought it was the perfect place to stay in when they got married.
When Mikael asked what fears Megan had when they first moved in together, she said it was the fact that she "didn't know how to handle a household."
"I came from being so dependent on my parents and everything on the house, so I was afraid of making a lot of mistakes," admitted Megan, who also lived alone for a long time that she wasn't use to having anyone around.
She admitted to being afraid of the mess that they were going to make once they lived together.
Meanwhile for Mikael, it was all about excitement.
"I was just excited to hang around with you because obviously we like being around one another and I think that's very clear the podcast is proof of that," he added.
The two also looked back at the time when all they had was a mattress on the floor. According to the couple, it was just like "camping" but with their favorite person.
Looking back to when they first moved in together, Mikael said there were certain things he could have and should have been afraid of.
"What if she sees all my flaws? Bonezy and I slept on the floor. Three, four weeks [of that], what if suddenly Bonezy says, what is this man providing for me?" Mikael opened up.
Megan admitted it may really be like that for other people, but she didn't mind at all. In fact, the Miss World 2013 said it was "fun" for her.
At the latter part of the podcast, Mikael and Megan said moving in together before marriage really depends on the couple. They should talk it out before making the decision, Mikael and Megan advised.
"There is no concrete sequence on how you should go about your life," Megan said. "People say you get married, then you buy a house, and then you have a baby. But I've seen the situation na yes fruitful, but I've also seen experiences where it's the complete opposite. It didn't work out for them, and those situations ended up in annulment." Megan added.
