Kamala is the first woman, first Black American and first Asian American to win the second highest US office.
Her triumph gives Doug quite a unique position in US history as well: The successful entertainment lawyer becomes America's first second gentleman.
On Sunday morning (Manila time), she along with President-elect Joe Biden addressed their supporters in a parking lot in Delaware, where they thanked their supporters and promised to get to work, ASAP.
"We have a lot of work ahead of us. Let's get started," Kamala said in a triumphant tweet. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
