Aicelle Santos says she and Mark Zambrano are in ‘getting to know you’ phase after 1 year of marriage

Aicelle Santos has revealed that after one year of marriage, she and her husband Mark Zambrano were still in the “getting to know you” phase.

During an online media conference on Tuesday, Aicelle shared, laughing: “First time namin na magsasama sa isang bubong and it’s COVID, it’s 24/7, you can’t get rid of each other.”

“Makikita niyo ’yung di niyo nakikita dati noong nagde-dating lang kayo,” the singer added. “It’s an experience na marami kang matutunan about yourself, about your partner.”

Aside from finding out new things, Aicelle shared that she and Mark would sometimes reverse roles in the relationship.

“Akala ko pasensyoso siya,” Aicelle said. “Medyo mainit ulo na, ako na ’yung mas patient. Maybe it comes with pregnancy na dahan-dahan ka. Siya naiinip, madali uminit ulo. Sabi ko nga, ‘asawa ko, ’wag ka naman masyado lumala pagtanda natin.’ The rest same talaga.”

She said, however, that since she became pregnant, Mark had been extremely attentive to her needs.

“Buntis, ’di ka makayuko lalo na ’pag on bed rest medyo inuutos mo na lahat,” Aicelle explained. “In fairness naman to him wala pang isang segundo, woosh, wala na siya. Sabi ko pwede naman mamaya mo gawin.”

To which Mark replied: “Naniniwala kasi ako sa kasabihan na happy wife, happy life.”

The two tied the knot in a garden ceremony last year.

After announcing they’re expecting a baby in June, the couple revealed during a recent online baby shower that they’re naming their baby girl Zandrine. – RC, GMA News
