Here's the exact moment KC Concepcion surprised her mom Sharon Cuneta in Amanpulo

Sharon Cuneta's dreamy island-paradise birthday celebration in Amanpulo, Palawan earlier this month was made even sweeter when her eldest daughter, KC Concepcion, popped up for a surprise visit.

But how exactly did the host, model and singer — who was only earlier posting about her New Year's shebang in El Nido on Instagram — end up at the resort so suddenly?

In her latest vlog episode, KC documented boarding the plane with her best friend-slash-accomplice, Tim Yap, and being immediately driven to the resort via golf cart.

It wasn't easy, but the two managed to carry with them some of Sharon's favorites — strawberry shortcake and lengua — throughout the trip.

The staff quietly escorted KC and Tim to Sharon's door where their long-awaited mother-and-daughter reunion took place.

The mission was a total success, and they had timed it perfectly too.

KC revealed that they actually waited until her stepdad, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, went fishing with her brother Miguel. Her sisters, Frankie and Miel, on the other hand, went for a swim.

None of them knew about the surprise, but Sharon said she actually felt that KC was coming.

"Oh my god, I was surprised like [I thought] 'Is KC coming?'" Sharon said.

The Megastar, who turned 55 last January 6, also wrote about the magical moment with her daughter on Instagram.

"KC flew to Manila from Palawan with our dear friend Tim Yap to take another flight to the island where the rest of the family and I are! She brought me our favorite Strawberry Shortcake, and Tim brought me beautiful flowers! What a sweet surprise!" Sharon wrote. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
