Heart Evangelista’s advice for married couples: ‘Don’t make bihis in front of them’

It’s no secret that Heart Evangelista and Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero are couple goals to many people.

Letting people in on their secret, the actress shared that married people should leave space for themselves.

“My dad would always tell me, ‘you have to leave a little bit of yourself,’” the actress said in a YouTube vlog with beauty doctor Dr. Aivee Teo on Sunday. “So if you go to the toilet, close the door. If magbibihis ka, don’t make bihis in front [of them].”

She added, “Ako, I don’t dress up in front of Chiz. When he sees me naked, he only sees me naked when it’s that one.”

Heart explained that this was an effort to make things fresh. “Hindi ’yung nagdadaan ka, nagpupulbo ka [ng kili-kili]. ’Di ba ang pangit?”

The actress also revealed that she’d never let Chiz see her put on lotion and that she’d gargle when she goes to the toilet in the morning to eliminate morning breath.

They also made sure that their toilet had doors so it stays closed.

When going to sleep, Heart said she’d wear gowns or silk robes.

“Ako ’pag natutulog ako naka super gown ... I wear’yung silk, ano, robe na maganda because wala ka ng makeup, gandahan mo na!” she said. “It feels good in the morning to wake up like that.”

Heart said that it’s important to never let go of yourself just because you’re married, not for your partner, but for yourself.

“I always believe you shouldn’t let go of yourself just because nag-asawa ka na o may anak ka na, again in connection with your dreams and your aspirations in life,” she said.

“It's the same with your looks because it’s not because you’re being vain or vain is a sin, it’s taking care of yourself, for your self-worth.”

In the same vlog, Heart also revealed how she managed arguments with Chiz, saying she wrote him letters to properly discuss issues.
