Ai Ai delas Alas finds out after 4 years that husband first proposed over coffee
Love is certainly full of surprises!
On Friday, Ai Ai delas Alas shared that she found out after almost four years of being married that her husband Gerald Sibayan first popped the question through her iced coffee drink.
The comedian said she was browsing through her phone when she came upon a photo taken on the day he proposed to her. It was only then that she noticed he had written the question on the cup he gave to her.
In the photo, Ai Ai looked away from the camera while holding the cup, which had the words: “Can you be my misis (missus)?”
Ai Ai said she had forgotten about it and all she remembered was he handed her coffee and told her to finish it “tapos nasa dulo ’yung singsing (and the ring would be at the bottom).”
She said she was confused on what the proposal had to do with the coffee, and she was just happy that he asked her.
According to Ai Ai, it’s only now that she is making sense of what happened on that special day.
The comedian blamed the pandemic for making her “analyze” everything. “Kasi nga pala sa Starbucks kami unang nag-date (Starbucks was where we had our first date).”
Ai Ai and Gerald tied the knot in December 2017 in Quezon City after announcing their engagement in April that year. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
