Rabiya Mateo tops partial Miss Universe 2020 online voting


Rabiya Mateo is on top of her game for Miss Universe 2020!

The Filipina beauty queen is currently leading the partial tally of an online poll in the Philippines through the shopping app Lazada.

A Lazada Philippines representative confirmed with GMA News Online that Rabiya has the highest number of votes on the shopping app as of Wednesday, April 28.

Based on Lazada Philippines Miss Universe fan vote as of Wednesday, here are the top contenders for the Lazada online voting.

2. Vietnam
3. Indonesia
4. Thailand
5. Malaysia
6. Korea
7. Portugal
8. Romania
9. Armenia
10. Singapore

The shopping platform is "the official E-commerce partner of this year’s 69th Miss Universe pageant has the exclusive fan voting."

The Lazada Philippines representative said voting in the Philippines is exclusively available via Lazada only while those who are voting outside the country can vote via the Miss Universe app.

The candidate with the highest number of online votes (including those from Lazada Philippines app and Miss Universe app) will secure a spot as one of the Top 21 semi-finalists.

Fans who have valid accounts can vote through the Lazada app under the Miss Universe tab. Each voter is entitled to one free vote.

According to Lazada, supporters can also buy voting packages starting at P48 (3 votes), and goes all the way to P4,869 (500 votes).

The Lazada voting period is until May 15, 2021.

Rabiya is currently in the US as she prepares for the grand coronation of the Miss Universe 2020 pageant will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on May 16, 2021 (May 17 in Philippine time).
