How Dingdong Dantes directs wife Marian Rivera in 'Tadhana'

Marian Rivera has been taping episodes of "Tadhana" at home amid the pandemic.

Her director is none other than her husband, Dingdong Dantes, and sometimes their daughter Zia assists them during taping.

In their virtual fan conference organized by GMA Pinoy TV, host Boobay asked Marian what Dingdong is like as a director.

"He's the type of director who likes to explore how you will express [the emotions]," the Kapuso Primetime Queen said in Filipino.

"But he also wants you to deliver it properly and with feelings. He doesn't want you to simply deliver it," she added.

Marian said they had to play it by ear in the beginning, but their experience helped them adjust to taping at home.

"In fairness naman nakaka-inlove naman siyang direk," said Marian, who previously remarked that her husband is strict when sitting on the director's chair.

"Tadhana" is a weekly drama anthology featuring the colorful, romantic, heroic, and inspiring stories of Filipinos all over the world. Marian has been hosting the show for three years.

Last August, Dingdong temporarily stepped in as director because Marian had to continue her hosting duties from home.
