Sharon Cuneta laughs off rumors she left the country because Kiko hit her
Sharon Cuneta denied speculations that she flew to Los Angeles, California because Kiko Pangilinan hit her.
In an Instagram live with her husband on Friday, the Megastar laughed at the rumors being spread about her and clarified that none of them were true.
"Una tawa ako ng tawa," Sharon said. "Umalis ako ng maayos. Ito po ay katotohanan. Alam 'yun ng Diyos."
("At first, I kept laughing. I left properly. This is the truth. God knows this.")
"Alam ng Panginoon Diyos, sa awa naman po Niya, mula sa pagkabata ko wala ako nakilala, minahal at nakasama o ano man na nasaktan ako. Maaari sa puso pero hindi pisikal ever. Ang asawa ko ni minsan, ni daliri niyan hindi dumapo sa akin."
("God knows, thanks to Him, ever since I was young I have never met, loved, or been with someone who hurt me. They may have hurt my heart but never physically. Not once has my husband laid a finger on me.")
She also shut down the whispers that she was having an affair with a younger man.
"Pakiusap ko lang sabihin ninyo kung sino para ma-Google ko at makaakyat siya ng maayos sa asawa ko para manghingi ng permiso para makapagrelasyon sa akin," Sharon said, laughing.
("Please tell me who it is so I can Google him and so he can properly ask for permission from my husband to have a relationship with me.")
The actress also said that she is not pregnant. She jokingly said that people may have forgotten that she's 55 years old already and no longer on child-bearing age.
"This happens all the time, itong paninira. We have to be vigilant. 'Wag tayo basta-basta maniwala. Let's be mindful at let's not underestimate our power to influence others," Kiko said.
("This happens all the time, these slander. We have to be vigilant. Let's not be too quick to believe. Let's be mindful and let's not underestimate our power to influence others.")
Meanwhile, Sharon revealed that the reason why she flew to the US was to grieve a missed opportunity after a "false positive" COVID-19 test result.
In a heartbreaking admission, she shared that she was supposed to star in the first ever all-Filipino cast Hollywood film with Jo Koy, to be produced by Steven Spielberg himself.
She tested positive with COVID-19, however, so she could not go anywhere as the film production was on a tight schedule.
Afterwards, Sharon took seven more tests and all turned out negative.
