How Andi Eigenmann and fam handled their car breaking down in the middle of nowhere in Siargao
Andi Eigenmann took to Instagram to tell the story of how their family graciously handled their car breaking down in the middle of nowhere.
Posting moments that she, her fiance Philmar Alipayo, and their children Koa, Lilo, and Ellie shared together in the middle of the road, Andi said "I wanted to share the hassle of a day we had, but as I scroll through, I notice the big smiles, and can't help but recall this moment as a fun one! All we had was each other."
According to Andi, they had no phone, no water, and they were "sticky sweaty" from the hot summer air. "We were (mostly papa) being eaten alive by noknoks!"
"Sometimes things, life, just doesn't go our way. It may be upsetting/ it may cause our heads to explode. But we can also accept it graciously and be grateful instead," she added.
Andi said the experience is "an important lesson I am happy that my fiancè and I both want to instill in our children."
"And looking back, it makes me proud to realize that maybe it was the kids that taught us this lesson in the first place," she added.
Andi said her children did not complain even once. "They were just enjoying themselves, being out in the world, amongst all those coconut trees."
"They were just curious about what had surrounded them, and it was just papa and I that joined in on their little adventure," she added.
"It's nice to stop and try to see the world through children's eyes," Andi said.
Andi and her family are currently living in their "negosyo house" in Siargao, recently revealing that they have found the perfect place to build their "future dream island house."
Andi and Philmar got engaged last December, a month before they welcomed their second child together, Baby Koa. They have another daughter named Lilo.
Meanwhile, Ellie is Andi’s eldest daughter to Jake Ejercito. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
