Did you know? Pokwang's husband, American actor Lee O'Brian, fell in love with her at first sight

Pokwang's beauty immediately caught the eyes and heart of her now husband Lee O'Brian, who fell in love with her at first sight.

It was one of the facts shared about the comedienne in an episode of "Tunay na Buhay." The actress also said Lee arrived in her life at just the right time.

"Gumawa ako ng paraan para alam mo na magkaroon ng bunga," she said. "At saka ano 'yan kumbaga wag na tayong mag-aksaya ng panahon dahil hindi naman na ako bagets nung nakilala ko 'yan no."

("I made a way so I can have a baby. If you think about it, we should not waste any time since I’m not young anymore when we met.")

"Forty-three nung nakilala ko siya so aarte pa ba, 'wag na. Ipaalam na natin ang katotohanan gano'n," she added.

("I was 43 when we met so will still complain? Not anymore.")

Lee and Pokwang met through the movie "EDSA Woolworth." They had a kissing scene, which Pokwang said was real as they were already in love.

Looking back, Pokwang said one of the things that made her heart beat for Lee was his efforts to be with her and get used to being in the Philippines.

"Niyakap niya 'yung culture natin di ba and hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan at saka ano siya sa pamilya ko, nakasuporta siya sa akin bilang ako," she said. "May pagka komedyante rin 'yan."

("He embraced our culture and he's not hard to be with. He's very supportive of my family and me. He also has a comedic side to him.")

The couple welcomed their first child together in 2018. Pokwang has an older daughter named Ria Mae from a previous relationship.
