Derrick Monasterio admits he is ‘talking to someone,’ in the getting-to-know stage

Derrick Monasterio has admitted that he is currently in the getting-to-know stage of a relationship.

In an online interview with the press on Wednesday, the Kapuso actor said he was “talking to someone.”

“Usap, usap lang. Good night, good night lang,” he said. “’Wag kang papa-gutom,’ mga ganyan. Ang baduy eh pero gano’n talaga ‘pag may care ka sa tao. ‘Eat your lunch,’ mga ganon.”

When asked if his relationship with this person could possibly turn into a serious one, Derrick said yes since they cared about each other.

On his thoughts about dating and the getting-to-know stage of a relationship, meanwhile, the actor believes that it is a “necessity” to make a relationship work.

“Diyan makikita kung compatible kayo sa lahat ng aspects. Diyan malalaman kung ito na ba yung tao na mapapangasawa ko, ito ba yung babaeng willing ako makasama habang buhay,” he said.

“Kailangan para makilala yung partner. You have to know a person—her flaws, likes, interests, dislikes niyo about each other,” he added.

Derrick’s last known girlfriend was Livia Dumont. According to a GMA Entertainment report, he introduced her during GMA’s Thanksgiving Party in 2019. – RC, GMA News
