Aiko Melendez shares son Andre Yllana's touching gesture after earning his first salary as an actor
Proud mom Aiko Melendez took to Instagram to share her son Andre's touching gesture after he earned his first salary.
"Nung una sumeweldo si Andre alam nyo ba ano una nya ginawa? He treated the whole family for dinner tapos binilhan n'ya lola n'ya Elsie Castaneda ng Apple watch," Aiko wrote on Instagram.
[I just want to share what my son Andre did after he received his first salary. He treated the whole family for dinner and he bought his grandmother Elsie Castaneda an Apple watch.]
According to Aiko, he also even asked her what gift she wanted, but she told her son to save the money first.
Andre also asked her what he can give her sister Marthena, as well as expressed his plans to show his appreciation to his mother's partner Zambales Vice Governor Jay Khonghun, once it's safe to travel again.
"Sabi n'ya, 'mama kapag di na ECQ or MECQ or kapag totally wala na virus kapag pwede na lahat, ililibre ko si tito Jay Khonghun," Aiko continued, adding she turned teary-eyed at her son's generosity.
"Naluha ako [nang] slight kasi 'di ko akalain lahat kami, nasa isip nya," she wrote.
[He told me, 'Mama, after the quarantine or once the pandemic is over I will treat Tito Jay Khonghun,' I teared up a little because I didn't expect him to think about everyone in his family.]
"Di man million pa kinikita ng anak ko, pero likas sa kanya ang pagka-generous. Kaya alam ko, Andre i-blessed [sic] ka ni Lord kasi di ka madamot… Go go anak ayan na malapit na ilabas ang show ninyo!" she added.
[Although my son is not yet earning millions, it is natural in him to be generous which is why I know Andre will be blessed by the Lord because he is not selfish. Go son, your show is about to premiere!]
Aiko ended her note expressing how proud she is of Andre.
"Good luck anak. We love you so much! Alam ko Proud din tatay mo s'yo. We are all rooting for you.
Less than a week ago, Aiko shared a photo of Andre at the set of his upcoming project with Viva.
