Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez shed lots of tears on wedding day

There were no dry eyes during the ceremony when Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez finally tied the knot on Saturday.

In the Same Day Edit video by wedding filmmaker Bob Nicolas, Carla shared her plans on how to make her groom cry on their special day.

The Kapuso actress said she would place a cowboy hat in the seat meant for Tom's late father, who would also later appear via video in their first dance and sing "Can't Help Falling in Love."

"Iyakin 'yun. Naku, i-focus n'yo lahat sa kanya. Today, oy, papaiyakin ko 'yun, promise," she said.

True enough, Tom wept so much during their wedding, starting when Carla walked down the aisle.

Carla herself cried when she was making her vows, remembering her promise to her late father-in-law to take good care of Tom.

The couple's tears were contagious, as many among their friends and family also cried upon witnessing their union.

But of course, there were also many smiles as laughs as two people celebrated their love and vowed to spend the rest of their lives together.
