Bianca Umali reveals the biggest lesson she got from her grandmother that still helps her today

If Bianca Umali has a life motto, it would be the old lesson she got from her grandmother.

"Be patient and always choose to be kind no matter what situation you're in," she said during an interview with Kapuso reporters after renewing her contract with GMA Artist Center. "'Yun 'yung pinakamalaking lesson na nakuha ko sa lola ko."

The actress said that when she was just starting her career, her grandmother would encourage her by telling her she will get what she wants one day.

"She would always tell me na 'Kita mo 'yung mga ganyan? Makakakuha ka rin 'yan, basta hintayin mo lang. Darating din ang oras mo. Kung para sa 'yo, para sa 'yo, you just wait," Bianca said.

"And true enough, since then, every time that I choose to be the better person, every time that I choose to be kind and to be patient, nag-pe-pay off lagi," she said.

Bianca has had an exciting year. The HBO Asia Original series "Halfworlds," which she is a part of, wrapped up filming, and she said she hopes it will be released next year.

She also recently dropped a heartbreaking new single titled "Itigil Mo Na."

So what does Bianca still want at this point in time?

"I want to do more roles in the future na hindi ko pa nagagawa," she said. "I want to be able to go back to studying as well, and to exercise the other talents that I have so I can share them with the world."
