Celebrity breakups of 2021: Who ended their relationships this year?

While this year has been abundant in weddings and babies, 2021 became something of a “Year of Breakups” with not a few celebrity couples ending their relationships.

Perhaps the breakup that shocked everyone came in late August when LJ Reyes confirmed her separation from Paolo Contis and said it wasn't initially a mutual thing. Paolo later admitted to having a third party and apologized to those who got dragged into the issue: actress Yen Santos and ex-wife Lian Paz.

Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica's breakup also became the talk of the town — twice! First when Kylie's father Robin dropped the bomb. And second, when Aljur broke his silence and urged his ex-wife to "please tell them the truth." 

Jennica Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco also surprised everyone when they confirmed their split, although thank God the two of them seem to be in the process of getting back together again. Let's see.

There were also foreign celebrity couples Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes who seem to have caught Filipinos in distress when they announced their splits.
