Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado ‘give back’ on first Christmas as married couple

Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado are feeling so blessed to be celebrating their first Christmas together as husband and wife, that they decided to share their happiness.

In a vlog posted December 24, the newlyweds went to hand out envelopes of cash to 10 random people including a woman camped out on the street and a man who did not know where to spend Christmas.

#DenJen also had a surprise gift for their Grab driver, taho vendor, and the very first fan who subscribed to their YouTube channel.

The fan turned out to be an OFW working hard to support her family, so the couple sent her a gift via online banking.

At the end of the vlog, Dennis and Jennylyn reminded everyone that a lot of people were not so "blessed" this year, particularly the victims of Typhoon Odette, for whom they were accepting donations through their mobile donation drive StarTruck.

"Maliit man o malaki,  ang importante makatulong tayo in our own little way kasi, 'pag pinagsama-sama lahat 'yang effort na 'yan ay malaki na rin ang magagawa," Dennis said.

Dennis and Jennylyn, who have a baby on the way, announced that they tied the knot in a civil ceremony last month. — LA, GMA News
