Kylie Padilla pens poem explaining what love is to her sons: 'It's us together'

Love can come in different shapes and sizes, but for Kylie Padilla, it's being with her sons Alas and Axl.

In a three-minute video released on Instagram, Thursday, Kylie shared a self-written poem, which she recited while their precious moments played on screen.

"What does it mean to be your mother? What does it mean to be raising you? I want you to know, sweetheart, Mama is not perfect. But Mama will try her best," she was heard saying.

Referring to them as her "compass," Kylie said she will hold on to them especially amid troubling times.

"You are my guiding light, my ray of hope in dark places. You are love, my love. One I'll never let go," she continued. "You heal me in every moment and I'll do my best to deserve it."

"Whatever road that brought us here, I'll walk tall and strong for you. I love you both, I always will. Want to know what love is? It's us together. Us three. Mama, Alas, and Axl."

Last month, Kylie and her sons went on a relaxing camping trip and talked about letting "real healing" to happen. They have also been bonding through various activities like movie nights.

Kylie and Aljur Abrenica, who tied the knot in 2018, were confirmed to have separated in July.

The actress, who said they are in a co-parenting set-up with her estranged husband, assured everyone in an interview in August that she was "really happy" compared to before.
