Jinri Park tears up as she reunites with parents after two years
Jinri Park has finally reunited with her parents after two long years apart.
On Instagram Friday, the South Korean celebrity shared a couple of videos of their reunion in Sydney; first of Jinri spotting them as they waved hello upon their arrival at the Sydney airport, and then of their tearful reunion two days later, when they had tested negative for Covid-19.
"Finally. After two years, a lot of tears, and effort, my parents arrived in Sydney. I saw them but they had to go to isolate at a hotel until they got their negative PCR results and it took about 2.5 days to get it," She wrote clarifying she paid to get the fast result one.
Jinri wrote about her anxiety brought about by the uncertainty of most everything — something that is familiar to everybody living away from their loved ones. "It was such a rollercoaster ride this year, not knowing if I’ll get to see them still or what would happen. Everything was so unclear and I spent so many nights and days crying, thinking I won’t be seeing them again this year."
Jinri said living in a foreign country has made her miss them even more.
"They won’t be staying for too long since they both have to go back to work in Korea but I’m so so sooooo happy I finally got to see my parents after 2 years," she said.
In the video, Jinri quickly went on to hug her mom as she opened their hotel door. The celebrity buried her face on her mother's neck and upon release, was already red and flustered from crying. She went on to hug her dad next and by then, you will have cried from their touching reunion as well.
