Marian Rivera says she panicked over her kids' health after Dantes Squad contracted COVID-19
Marian Rivera could not help her maternal instinct to worry about her kids when the whole Dantes Squad contracted COVID-19.
In Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," Marian said she felt extra concerned for her children Zia and Sixto, who were both too young to be vaccinated.
"S'yempre nakaka-panic kasi di mo alam lalo na walang bakuna 'yung mga bata," she said. "Ako naka-booster na ko so OK ako, hindi ba, pero pag 'yung mga anak mo na wala pang bakuna, parang sandali lang, anong mangyayari? Anong kailangan nating gawin? So super panic."
Her husband Dingdong Dantes revealed their family's bout with COVID-19 in a Facebook video on Sunday. He said almost all of them experienced symptoms such as fever.
Asked about their condition now, Dingdong said they are mostly recovered from the virus.
"Masasabi kong siguro 95% recovered although may konting paubo-ubo pa," he said. "'Yung kids naman clear na sila bumalik na 'yung kanilang ganang kumain tapos si Zia balik na siya sa school."
DongYan will now be returning to work mode with Dingdong doing "Amazing Earth" and Marian once again taping for "Tadhana."
They also urged the public to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their families, and their community as COVID-19 continues to spread in the country.
