Albert Martinez says he is not yet ready to be in a relationship: 'Liezl's shoes is hard to fill...She's my soulmate'

After almost seven years since his wife Liezl passed away, Albert Martinez said he is not yet ready to be in a relationship.

In an interview with Dr. Vicki Belo on her vlog, Albert was asked about his current love life and if he is seeing anyone.

"I don’t have any. I am still enjoying my time with my kids and apo kasi obviously I've been working hard and I missed so much time with my kids so now I am parang bumabawi sakanila," Albert told Vicki Belo. "I cook for them every weekend."

When asked if he's attracted to anyone or if there are women flirting with him, he said, "That's normal siguro, normal process."

However, he said, "I don’t go through with it. Parang I’m not ready yet. Liezl’s shoes is very hard to fill."

When Vicki asked what is so special about Liezl that makes her unforgettable, Albert said she is "the kindest, smartest" person he has ever met.

"We’re very good friends, she took really good for me. I don’t know if you believe in soulmate, but I believe she’s my soulmate," he said.

In the same vlog, Albert also shared the hardships he and his family went through when his wife Liezl was battling cancer.
