'The Clash' finalist Miriam Manalo asks for prayers, financial assistance for her child Baby Lilah who is in the ICU

"The Clash" finalist Miriam Manalo took to social media to ask for prayers and financial assistance to help her Baby Lilah who is in the ICU.

On Facebook, Miriam shared a photo of her child who was seen lying down on a hospital bed.

"Nothing is more painful than this! Miriam wrote n the capiton of her post.

Miriam said although it has been difficult for her, she will not give up on her daughter.

"I don’t know if I can still take this, di ko na yata talaga kakayanin ito, but I’m not a quitter alam kong kakayanin ng anak ko ito lalaban sya at di sya pababayaan ng diyos, proud ako sa baby ko na ito napaka brave nya talaga kaya hinding hindi ko sya susukuhan," she wrote.

The singer asked her followers and friends to include baby Lilah in their prayers.

She also mentioned that they are in need of financial assistance for her child's hospital bills.

She ended her note with a bible verse, "Prayer is the strongest medicine'He said to her, Daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering. Mark 5:34."

In a report on GMANetwork.com last June, Miriam said her daughter Lilah was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

The report said it was the same condition that took the life of Mirriam's firstborn, Layla Elleina, in October 2019 when she was only eight months old.

In the 2021 post, Miriam explained that, "Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic (inherited) neuromuscular disease that causes muscles to become weak and waste away. People with SMA lose a specific type of nerve cell in the spinal cord that controls muscle movement."
