Sheryl Cruz pays tribute to her 'Mama Inday' Susan Roces

Sheryl Cruz took to Instagram Sunday night to pay tribute to the late Susan Roces.

“It never occurred to me that I might be here one day, talking about my Mama Inday instead of being with her,” Sheryl began.

According to the actress, her “Mama Inday was unbelievably compassionate. Her heart and her generosity knew no bounds. Her door was always open - (literally).”

Sheryl also credited the late veteran actress and Queen of Philippine Movies for raising her "as she was my mom" to become the woman she is today.

She added that “to be able to kiss and hug” Susan again would be “the greatest miracle in the world.”

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal," Sheryl continued. "But love leaves a memory no one can steal."

In the photo, Sheryl and Susan were side by side, smiling for the camera, while the late actress was showcasing a handbag that Sheryl presumably made for her. The printed image showed a thank you letter written by Susan for Sheryl.

“Her life was a well-lived blessing, and her memory will always be our treasure. I love you Mama Inday,” Sheryl ended.

Born on July 28, 1941, Susan Roces passed away last Friday due to cardiopulmonary arrest.

The wake of the late veteran actress and Queen of Philippine Movies will be until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. — LA, GMA News
