Kryz Uy and Slater Young's 7-week-old son Sevi to undergo hernia repair surgery

Kryz Uy and Slater Young just got informed that their seven-week-old baby, Sevi, has an inguinal hernia and has to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

Kryz revealed her son's condition in a vlog on Sunday.

"Unfortunately, we discovered that Sevi has [an] inguinal hernia and it needs to be operated on," the mother of two said.

"Whenever he cries, it triggers the hernia to bulge out and I know he's not supposed to experience pain when that happens but it still hurts my heart to see it," she added.

According to Web MD, inguinal hernia is a condition when a "piece of your intestine pokes through a weak spot in your abdominal muscles near your groin."

Kryz said hernia is "not a rare disease" and their doctors expressed confidence about the operation despite Sevi being just a little over a month old.

"I keep telling myself that I can't be the mentally praning, scatter-brained mom. I have to be present and I have to be strong for Sevi," the 32-year-old said.

Kryz and Slater welcomed Sevi, their second child in May. Their older son, Scott, is two years old.
