Michelle Branch arrested for slapping husband Patrick Carney–report

Singer Michelle Branch was arrested for domestic assault for allegedly slapping her husband, The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, after she accused him of infidelity.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, police were called to the couple’s home at 2 a.m. Thursday for “a possible domestic disturbance.”

The publication said that Michelle admitted to slapping Patrick in the face “one or two times.”

TMZ added that Patrick did not have any visible injuries and Michelle was taken into custody.

Michelle’s bail was set at $1,000 but was reportedly released early because she was breastfeeding their six-month-old daughter.

The arrest comes after Michelle announced their separation exclusively to TMZ. The “Everywhere” singer said to say she was “totally devastated” would be an understatement and asked for privacy and kindness.

Michelle and Patrick got married in 2019. They have a son born in 2018 and a daughter born in February of this year. Michelle has a daughter from her previous marriage to Teddy Landau. – Nika Roque/RC, GMA News
