Scarlet Snow Belo corrects her mom Vicki Belo on her Chinese New Year greeting
Vicki Belo is one proud mother to Scarlet Snow Belo for being knowledgeable about the Chinese language.
On Chinese New Year’s Day, Vicki posted a video, greeting her followers with an enthusiastic “Kung Hei Fat Choi, everybody!”
Scarlet, who was beside her while filming her Instagram video, immediately reacted and said, “no, mommy!”
“It’s Gong Xi Fa Cai," the seven-year-old social media celebrity began. "Kung Hei Fat Choi is Cantonese, and Gong Xi Fa Cai is Chinese, the real Mandarin," Scarlet noted.
The celebrity doctor looked amazed at her daughter and said, “ang galing ng anak ko.”
Scarlet has been wowing netizens with her surprising talents, often put on display in her official Instagram account, which, as of writing, has 5.1 million followers.
When she was four, Scarlet showed off her linguistic skills by flawlessly reciting a literary piece with a British accent.
Aside from linguistics, Scarlet also likes taekwondo and dancing, and she recently finished writing a non-fiction book at the age of 7.
