Pia Wurtzbach postpones joining the London Marathon to prioritize wedding planning

Pia Wurtzbach has got a big year ahead.

Still currently in London, Queen P took to Instagram to share some life updates, saying she's taken “a wellness break for a few weeks to check up on ME.” 

“As you know, I’m getting married soon!” She added, and as such, has decided to defer a few plans, including the London Marathon in April.

“I contemplated for a looong time and I really wanted to do it this year because I was doing it for such a good cause, @smiletrainph, and I didn’t want to let anyone down,” the beauty queen said in her caption.

But "I know marathon training [and] wedding planning will be a stressful combo,” Pia said.

According to Pia, training for a marathon takes up four to six hours a day. So although it was hard, Pia said it was “the right decision.”

“There will be many more Marathons and getting married is something I wanna focus on first and enjoy preparing for the wedding stress-free,” she said.

Unfortunately, Pia's life update didn't include when her wedding will be.

Pia’s first big race was the New York City Marathon in 2022. Her ever-supportive fiancé Jeremy Jauncey cheered for her the whole time.
