Andi Eigenmann says she's still as happy as when she first started her island life
Despite the many challenges that she faced over the past few years, Andi Eigenmann remains happy and content.
On Instagram, the actress-turned-vlogger shared photos of herself from 2019 and reflected on the ups and downs of the past four years — among them, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the typhoon that devastated the island.
"These pictures were taken just days before the announcement of the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19," she said. "The first one in particular, is a fave, because I don't really have a lot of photos of me on the iconic Cloud 9 tower, before it was washed away by typhoon Odette in December 2021."
"These were from 4 years ago, but it somehow still feels like new, whenever I look back on those days when we were still living in CFC, feeling like my life was so grand, albeit only having family and nature around," she added. "I was also only starting to surf here!"
Clearly, a lot has changed, but looking back at the years that passed only seems to have made Andi realize she's in the right place.
"It feels good to know that regardless of the ups and downs, I am still as happy as I was when my island life began," she said.
Andi, who is engaged to longtime partner Philmar Alipayo, resides in Siargao with their kids. They recently opened the Kanaway Surf School and Snack Bar there.
