Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth announce divorce

Reese Witherspoon and her husband, talent agent Jim Toth, announced that they are divorcing a few days before they celebrate their 12th anniversary.

Reese and Jim released a joint statement on the actress’ Instagram page.

“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” they said. “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

Reese and Jim said that their biggest priority is their son Tennessee James, and their entire family as they “navigate this next chapter.”

Saying that situations like these are never easy and very personal, the couple requested respect for their privacy.

Reese was previously married to Ryan Phillippe. They have two children together, Ava and Deacon.
