Sheryl Cruz is one proud mom as daughter Ashley is set to graduate a summa cum laude
We cannot imagine how proud Sheryl Cruz must be.
Her unica hija, Ashley, is set to graduate a summa cum laude from the San Francisco State University this month!
On Instagram, Sheryl posted a photo from a video call with her daughter and said it was the best mother's day gift she's ever had.
Turning it into as a hashtag, the Kapuso actress said she was "so proud and blessed to have you anak."
According to GMA Network, Sheryl told entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago that that she preparing herself to support Ashley as she graduates with summa cum laude for Psychology.
"Sa araw ng birthday niya, doon siya pararangalan so I'm very excited for her and I'm very proud of her because efforts niya lahat ito. Kalahati lang ako na nagbigay ng shares sa kung ano man ang meron siya ngayon and kalahati no'n sa family naman ng tatay niya so I'm very proud of her and very grateful kasi kahit na malayo kami sa isa't isa, hindi nasayan yung effort,” Sheryl said.
In the comment section, Sheryl's celebrity friends including Tina Paner, Geneva Cruz, and Jennifer Sevilla expressed their congratulatory messages to both the mom and daughter.
Ashley has been making her mother proud with her achievements in school. Just last January, Sheryl shared the letter Ashley received from the Associate Dean of her college, congratulating her for making it into the Dean's List.
Ashley is Sheryl's daughter with ex-husband Norman Bustos.
