Mimiyuuuh clarifies and stands by her viral advice on dating

Mimiyuuuh recently went trending for her dating advice in which she told a magazine, “Never date someone na walang pera.”

While netizens agreed that it is important to have financial stability in a healthy relationship, some said that loyalty, commitment, words of affirmation, and other forms of love are more important.

The internet star took to Instagram to clarify her advice and to stand by what she said.

“I said what I said about wag makipag-date sa mga taong walang pera,” she said.

“Hindi naman po ibig sabihin na mag-date kayo ng mga milyonaryo, mga bilyonaryo, mga naka Porsche, hindi po ganun opo. Mag-date kayo ng someone na may drive,” she added.

Mimiyuuuh also said that you should date someone who can support themselves, “'yung hindi mangungutang at aasa sa inyo. 'Yun lang po 'yun, period.”

The content creator revealed that she felt sad about the people who called her “matapobre."

“Galing po ako sa hirap opo, pero nakipag-date po ba ako na walang akong pera? Hindi po," she said.

Your girl Mimi said that during that time, she prioritized her life, family, and career.

“At priority ko pong gawing buo 'yung sarili ko bago po ako magdagdag ng ibang tao sa buhay ko, you know what I’m saying?” Mimiyuuuh said. “Ayaw ko pong maging pabigat sa ibang tao.”

Mimiyuuuh also told people that they can date whoever they like, as long as they can support their needs and wants. “Magdadagdag ka pa ba ng another responsibility? Opo — relationships po are responsibilities.”

She emphasized that one should “complete yourself first. Make yourself whole tas maghanap ka rin ng someone na whole kasi 'yun 'yung deserve mo.”

“We are not responsible to complete other people, 'yung i-fi-fill mo 'yung kakulangan ng ibang tao,” she added.

She also said to not lower one’s standards in dating, and to know one’s self-worth.

Mimiyuuuh ended her video in her humorous yet profound way.

“At the end of the day po, buhay mo naman 'yan eh. Sige, mag-date ka ng mga broke na tao. Opo i-date mo yan. Tapos kainin mo 'yung mga words of affirmation ninyo opo. Kimmy!”
