Assunta de Rossi says no to showbiz return, focused on Fiore

Assunta de Rossi has no plans of returning to showbiz, saying that she is focused on raising her daughter Fiore.

In a report on PEP.ph, Assunta said she has dedicated her life to motherhood and made her two-year-old girl her no. 1 priority. 

"Ang tagal ko siyang inantay. So, nung dumating nga siya, siguro parang naisip ko nga rin na it is a new chapter," she said.

"OK na! Ang tagal ko nang artista. Ang tagal ko nang ibang tao 'yung winu-worry ko. Ang dami kong priorities noon. E, di eto na ngayon, and in-accept ko naman," she added.

Assunta has been married to Jules Ledesma since 2002, but they had difficulties conceiving a child as the actress suffered from myoma and endometriosis.

In 2020, however, Assunta suddenly found out she was pregnant right before the country went into lockdown due to the pandemic.

She gave birth to Fiore, whom she called her "miracle baby," in October that year.

Asked if her sister 38-year-old Alessandra gets jealous of her now that she has a child, Assunta said this is not the case as Alex treats Fiore like her own.

In fact, Alessandra has been a very doting Tita to the little girl, posting cute photos of her on social media and even introducing Fiore to her pet bird Kitten.
