Geneva Cruz shares lessons she learned about love

Geneva Cruz has learned quite the love lessons after having been married twice in the past and on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, the singer happily obliged the King of Talk when he asked for a few nuggets of wisdom on love.

She began with her thoughts on impulsiveness, saying "Wag pa-bigla-bigla sa mga decisions when it comes to marriage."

Geneva was first married to Paco Arespacochaga with whom she had a son, Heaven. When that was annulled, she later tied the knot with KC Montero.

According to Geneva, it's her marriage to KC that she considers her "real marriage and my very first relationship talaga kasi we were together for 10 years."

"Nung time namin, sana mas nagbigay pa ko ng oras. Sana mas nakapagpatawad ako dahil lahat naman tayo nagkakamali," she said, saying these are the things she regrets.

"We were in our early 30s nung naghiwalay kami," Geneva said.

"Life is short and you ask forgiveness from people you've hurt in the past," she added.

According to a 2010 PEP report, KC broke the news of their separation on his radio program, saying "We just kind of grew apart over the two years that we have spent apart. I was in the States for a couple of years [while] she was here working. She has a lot more obligation than I did."

"I was in the States trying to start something there for myself. But that didn't work out. We're not the same people that we used to be," KC added.

In her Fast Talk interview, Geneva said she is friends with both her exes, and that she is super happy for KC, who is now married to model Stephanie Dods. They welcomed a baby boy in 2020.

"I'm so happy for him. He deserves that," Geneva, who is very much single, said. — LA, GMA Integrated News
