Katrina Halili co-parenting daughter Katie with Kris Lawrence

Katrina Halili said she and her former partner Kris Lawrence are better off as friends as they co-parent their daughter Katie.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso actress said she's on good terms with Kris and they have a healthy co-parenting setup.

"Mas OK kami as friends," she said. "Mas nagtutulungan kaming dalawa sa lahat ng bagay."

Katrina also said Katie is consistent in keeping in touch with her father.

"'Pag may time, tatawagan ni Katie 'pag nami-miss niya 'yung papa niya," Katrina said.

"'Pag nasa Manila ako, tatawagan ko si Kris, tapos susunduin niya 'yung anak niya," she added. "Pinapahiram ko naman."

Katrina gave birth to Katie in 2012. Two years later, she ended her relationship with Kris.

The actress is set to star in upcoming action series "The Black Rider" with Ruru Madrid and Kylie Padilla.
