Mariel Padilla says husband Robin is the 'fun one' in their marriage

Mariel Padilla opened up on her married life with Sen. Robin Padilla, her husband of 12 years.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Mariel said she discovered that between her and Robin, he is actually the cool parent to their two daughters.

The TV host has a bubbly personality while Robin is known as the "Bad Boy of Philippine Movies," but Mariel turned out to be the sterner one in their marriage.

"What I discovered about Robin, siya pala 'yung fun one. Akala ko kasi ako 'yung fun eh," she said.

"You'd think ako 'yung fun but no, Robin is the one who's spontaneous, Robin is the one who will do whatever. 'Pag sinabi ng mga bata, 'OK let's do this.'" 

According to Mariel, she didn't realize that she would become the strict one as a parent. 

"Ako pala 'yung, 'Stop doing that!' Ako pala 'yung ganun. 'Tama na 'yan, tama na 'yan, kakakain lang niyan,'" she said.

Mariel also said Robin does not give her a hard time in their marriage despite his past. 

"I was so blessed because when I married him, ready na siya to really commit himself in the marriage," she said.

Mariel and Robin tied the knot in 2010. They have two children, Isabella and Gabriela.
