Ice Seguerra says daughter Amara got annoyed with comments invalidating their relationship

Ice Seguerra received a touching Father's Day from Liza Diño's daughter Amara last June, but some people chose to leave hate comments when he posted about it on Instagram. 

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Ice said he later addressed the issue in a Pride Month post, as Amara was negatively affected by the online bashing.

According to Ice, Amara called him after he shared her greeting on social media.

"She had to say lang na parang naiinis siya because of the comments sa post ko na nakikita niya, that people are invalidating our relationship as dad and daughter," he said.

"Who are they to question what we have? S'yempre na-feel bad ako for my daughter. Bakit n'yo kine-question 'yung pagtingin sa akin nung bata?" he added.

Ice said Amara was not angry at him for posting, but rather at all the people who chose to invalidate them as father and daughter.

"For me, win 'yun sa 'kin. This person sees me as her dad as someone who helped her mom mold her to who she is now," he said.

In her message to Ice, Amara said she is proud to be his daughter.

"Happy father's day to my papa. I hate to think that some people think you're just my stepdad. You have raised me and molded me into the great girl I am today," she wrote.

"Thank you for always raising my standards in men (and relationships in general) and teaching me to never settle."

Ice and Liza got married in California in 2014. They have been together for over 10 years.
