Empowered women entrepreneurs take center stage at Go Negosyo summit
Entrepreneurship in the digital age, with empowered women leading the way, was the focus of discussions on Saturday at the Go Negosyo Women Summit 2024 in Parañaque City.
With the theme "Harnessing the Digital Age to Empower Women," the event featured inspiring Filipino women achievers from various backgrounds who shared insights on how to gain confidence, develop skills, and achieve goals in business and life during these times.
Attorney Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network's senior vice president for programming and talent management, emphasized the importance of creating unique and original digital content during her talk at the summit.
She highlighted the need for GMA Network to pivot and adapt to the digital landscape.
"We're still navigating it, but you know, we have to do it and hindi kami pwedeng mapag iwanan (we can't afford to fall behind). We have to learn how to pivot as a content provider in whatever platform," Gozon-Valdes said.

She also noted the long-standing leadership of women in GMA Integrated News, including award-winning Filipino broadcast journalist Jessica Soho.
Gozon-Valdes also stressed the importance of listening to and valuing the younger generation within teams.
Other speakers at the event included notable figures such as chef Margarita Forés, fashion designer Vania Romoff, SAGIP Party-List Representative Caroline Tanchay, and Trade and Industry Undersecretary Ma. Cristina Roque.
Leading the awarding ceremony of the Go Negosyo Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs Awards 2024 was First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, accompanied by Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual, Ambassador Mary Kay Carlson of the United States Embassy in the Philippines, and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
