Dennis Padilla says recent online interactions with kids Julia, Claudia, Leon is start of their 'healing'

Dennis Padilla is hoping to see his kids, Julia, Claudia, and Leon, again soon following their recent interactions on social media.

In a report by PEP.ph, Dennis said that their exchange of online messages marks the beginning of their healing.

"Ito 'yung start ng healing, so I hope na magtuloy-tuloy 'yung healing," he said.

"And I hope na mas madalas ko na silang makita at makausap nitong mga darating na araw. And I will exert extra effort na ganoon ang mangyari," he continued.

Dennis vowed that he will do his best to talk to them more often and that he will make an effort to see them more.

"And I'm willing to adjust doon sa schedule kung saan kayo libre and io-open ko 'yung schedule na iyon para sa inyo, [mga] anak," he said. "Priority ko na makausap at makita kayo very, very soon. I love you all."

It has been around five to six years since Dennis and his kids last saw each other.

"Kasi sobrang busy rin ng mga bata, kamukha si Julia, saka sila Claudia... busy talaga sila sa kaniya-kaniyang career," he said. "And then Leon, araw-araw din may schooling. And masipag din si Leon sa school dahil Dean's lister 'yun, e."

Dennis hopes that they can be reunited in the coming months.

"I'm sure magkikita kami and, siyempre, inaantay ko rin 'yun, e... na excited ako na sana magkita-kita kami soon and magkausap kami na mas madalas na after that," he said.

Julia, Claudia, and Leon are his kids with Marjorie Barretto. They separated in 2007.

In 2022, Leon wrote an open letter for Dennis after he posted that his kids forgot to greet him on Father's Day.

He said that their relationship with Dennis has been rough, mainly when the actor talked about their "private matters" in press conferences, interviews, and social media.

Leon also said that every time he and his sisters try to communicate with Dennis, he resorts to "shouting, cursing, and using hurtful words that traumatized" them.

Dennis then responded to Leon's letter and said, "I am sorry [Leon,] Miss ko lang [kayo]."

In February, Dennis received a birthday message from Julia.

Last month, he sent a birthday greeting to Leon and he received a reply that said, "Thank you, Papa," followed by smiling and praying hands emojis.
