Angel Locsin’s father, Angel Colmenares, passes away

Angel Colmenares, the father of actress Angel Locsin, has passed away. He was 98 years old.

Colmenares’ passing was announced by their relative, Bago City, Negros Occidental Councilor Joseph Colmenares via Facebook Thursday.

“My Deepest Sympathy and Condolences to the Family of Angel Locsin. May You Find Eternal Peace and Happiness. Rest in Peace Lolo Budi," he wrote.

Joseph added that his Lolo Budi is the brother of his grandfather, Jesus Colmenares.

According to a report by Pep, Angel Colmenares was part of the Philippine team that won a bronze medal for the 4x200-meter freestyle relay at the 1954 Asian Games, which was held in the Philippines.
