'Unable to go' to Hajji Alejandro's wake, GF Alynna Velasquez visits his Walk of Fame star instead
Hajji Alejandro’s girlfriend, Alynna Velasquez, took to social media to share she visited her boyfriend's star at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.
Dressed in all black, Alynna brought a bouquet of flowers and a note for the OPM legend’s star. The area was decorated with candles and a portrait of Hajji, which Alynna kissed.
“I was unable to go to your wake for reasons I don’t have control of. But I am glad I am here to pray for you and watch your star shine!” Alynna said in her caption.
“You truly are a legend and your wonderful music will live on forever. We love you so much!” she added with the hashtags, #IMissYouLove and #HappyAnniversary.
Hajji passed away on Tuesday. He was 70 years old.
In her heartfelt tribute, Alynna revealed they would've celebrated their 27th anniversary on April 22.
Hajji had been battling stage 4 colon cancer since early this year and underwent an operation in February, Alynna said.
Born Angelito Toledo Alejandro, Hajji was a member of the Circus Band and won at the Metro Manila Popular Music Festival with the song "Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika."
Among his other hit songs are "Panakip-butas," "Tag-Araw, Tag-Ulan," and more.
