Jewel Mische talks about life outside showbiz, ‘ultimate homemaker’ role in Michigan

Jewel Mische found a new calling and a fulfilling life after stepping away from the limelight, transforming into what she describes as “the ultimate homemaker” in Michigan, United States.

On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Jewel gave updates on her life and also opened up about her decision to leave the entertainment industry.

“It was the right thing for me to do at that time. Quite frankly, medyo—at that time, hindi ako decided, hindi ako sure kung first love ko ba talaga ito, ito ba talaga ‘yung gusto kong gawin for the rest of my life,” she said. “And Alex [Kurzer] came at the right time.”

Jewel recalled that her decision coincided with the end of her showbiz contract.

“So napadali ‘yung decision ko to pursue my other dream to have a family,” she said.

Jewel shared that in Michigan, she was “the ultimate homemaker.”

According to her, she was getting to experience other aspects of life that she loved, such as gardening, and also embracing her roles as a devoted wife to her husband and a mom.

“Nasubukan ko ring magtrabaho. I was a designer for a landscaping company. All around. Lahat ng puwede kong gawin,” she said.

Jewel is currently back in the Philippines and said that she is open to accepting showbiz projects, as long as they are the right material for her.

Jewel won and was named as the Ultimate Sweetheart of “StarStruck 4.”

She and Alex tied the knot in 2015. They have three daughters, Aislah Rose, Emerald Jade, and Yzbel Quinn.
