Elisse Joson McCoy De Leon confirm break up: ‘We’re learning to let go’
Elisse Joson and McCoy De Leon have broken up.
Elisse confirmed the split in a collaborative Instagram Reel, showing clips from intimate moments from their relationship, including a few with their daughter Felize.
“My biggest dream in life has always been to build a family I could call mine. A home. That dream shaped us. It grounded us. And for all the beautiful five years (and more) that we were together, we held onto that dream with everything we had. We made that promise..to love, to fight, to stay,” Elisse said in her caption.
“And truthfully, we both tried. We both held on for as long as we could,” Elisse said.
“But now, we're learning to let go. Together, we're releasing that dream… so we can finally allow a new kind of peace, growth, and healing to enter.”
For Elisse, letting go does not mean failure.
“Because what we had was real. And it gave us the greatest gift.. Our Felize,” Elisse said.
The actress added, “There are moments when she wraps her arms around us and says, ‘My family belongs to me.’ And she will always be right.”
According to Elisse, no matter how much their lives will change, they will remain a family for Felize.
Elisse also said she is sharing this statement to honor their relationship and “to give space for healing.. for both of us and for the lives we’re choosing from here on.”
“No need for speculations, no assumptions. This wasn’t easy for either of us. We simply ask for kindness and respect as this story, and how it’s remembered, may one day shape what our daughter believes about love, family, and letting go,” Elisse said.
Elisse said they are now stepping into a new chapter “with love, respect, and no regrets.”
McCoy and Elisse met in 2016 and soon became a reel and real-life couple. Fans dubbed them as McLisse.
They broke up in 2018, got together again in 2020, and welcomed their daughter Felize in 2021. They also broke up in 2023 and reconciled soon after.
